Insights into the dual vocational training system in Germany

The study trip for participants from Tunisia, taking place from November 10th to 14th, 2025, focused on dual vocational training in Germany and included visits to various organizations in Berlin. Lively discussions and presentations by experts provided the participants with in-depth insights into dual vocational training. The partners will collaborate on joint projects in the future.

Cooperation project with Jinan Vocational College

A pioneering project at Jinan Vocational College in China aimed to significantly improve vocational training there, aligning it with the German dual system.
The initiative focused on training local instructors to ensure a strong practical component in the curriculum. Trainees benefited from examination standards that correspond to German requirements in the fields of mechatronics and industrial mechanics.
The results achieved were comprehensively documented and will be officially recognized by the Chamber of Skilled Crafts in the next step.

Tianjin Konferenz

Frank Winzerling, Managing Director of WMU GmbH, has been appointed as a member of the Global Vocational and Technical Education Development Think Tank at Tianjin University of Technology Education (TUTE). The appointment (08.11.2024) is for a three-year term.
The international think tank focuses on the strategic development of vocational and technical education (TVET). This appointment recognizes Frank Winzerling’s extensive international experience in practice-oriented education and strengthens WMU’s global profile.

Study tour Türkiye

From October 6 to 12, 2024, staff from the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MoNE) participated in a study trip to Germany to gain insights into the German education and integration system. The trip included stops in Berlin and Magdeburg.
The study trip provided a comprehensive opportunity to exchange best practices and develop a cooperative action plan for future collaboration between Germany and Turkey in the field of education.

Cooperation with Porsche AG

The project partners Porsche AG and WMU GmbH have concluded (15/07/2021) a cooperation agreement for the realization of the project “Joint design of vocational education and training and development of new projects within the framework of PAVE (Porsche Aftersales Vocational Education) and the Porsche Strategy 2030”. Together, the cooperation partners intend to create a “multiple win situation” by bundling (specialist) competences. The objectives of the parties’ global cooperation include the following topics:

  • Design and professionalisation of vocational training processes,
  • Inclusion and expansion of new topics such as environmental education, as well as empowerment of different population and target groups,
  • Conception and development of new programs for “capacity building” in the People’s Republic of China, among others,
  • Conception and design of the PAVE Learning Tools for the expansion and expansion of the PAVE portfolio,
  • Cooperation in teacher qualification,
  • Participate jointly in the further development of the program and Implementation and assurance of a sustainable transfer of education.

Cooperation forum for the Sino-German “Hidden Champions” 2019

WMU GmbH, as a long-standing and experienced education service provider in the field of vocational education and training, was invited to participate in the german-sino Investment and Cooperation Forum for Hidden Champion Companies. The event was organized by the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in Chengdu, Chongqing and Qingdao. Dr. Jürgen Ude (State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Science and Digitalisation of the State of Saxony-Anhalt) gave a speech at the forum on the importance of vocational education and training in Germany and the role of the German vocational education and training system as an important factor in the development of Hidden Champions.

 

Method training in Suzhou

From 27.09.2019 to 29.09.2019 a method training for action-oriented teaching methods for vocational education took place in the Suzhou Institute of Construction & Communications. The teachers of the Vocational Institute were introduced to the different micro and macro methods and experienced them during the seminar.

Retooling Program: Energy Resilience

From 21.07.2019 to 14.09.2019, Indonesian specialists and executives from vocational education and training will spend 8 weeks training in Germany. The program on behalf of the Indonesian MINISTRY OF RESEARCH, TECHNOLOGY AND HIGHER EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA (MOHRTE) is intended to make an important contribution to improving the qualifications of the participants in terms of subject matter and pedagogy.

The focus of the training was the topic “Renewable Energies in Vocational Education”. The training program was realized with the support of the cooperation partner Lucas Nülle from Kerpen and the Hessian State Office for Technological Training in Groß-Gerau.
